Deployment of a radar system at the Kerbertrand Dam at Quimperlé

Quimperlé has implemented a new flood prevention system following past events, particularly those of December 2023. This monitoring system, installed at the Kerbertrand dam, includes a radar and a rain gauge to closely monitor the Dourdu, a watercourse that is not monitored by the state services. Designed by the company Ijinus (based in Mellac), this investment, co-financed by several stakeholders including the City and Quimperlé Community, aims to collect data for prevention and ensure rapid alerting of residents through 24-hour access to information. An additional water level sensor has also been installed on the Ellé.

Pink October

Pink October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in France and many countries around the world. Each year, the entire month of October is dedicated to the fight against this disease and promoting prevention, with the aim of reducing the risk of mortality.

New Areal Topkapi-compatible communication protocol

AREAL announces the compatibility of Topkapi with IJINUS brand communicating instrumentation using the HTTPS protocol. This new protocol enriches the already existing acquisition modes, namely receiving SMS messages and depositing data files on an FTP server.
This new method of communication based on a web service is direct (without going through a third-party platform) and secure. At his initiative, the instrumentation sends its data to Topkapi via HTTPS queries. An HTTPS server exposed by Topkapi itself allows queries to be received and data integrated into its environment. The initial introduction of a digital certificate between the devices and Topkapi makes the exchanges secure.

The town is located on the shores of Lac des Deux-Montagnes (150 km 2). Most of the town is protected by a dike. In 2019, a breach in the dike caused unprecedented flooding.
